Give ‘me time’ a serious upgrade with the Mia floor lamp, a personalised lighting source as imagined by Lexington Avenue-based New York designer Thomas O’Brien.
A self-professed fan of both the ‘useful’ and the ‘fine and rare’, O’Brien is often attracted to décor that suggests a sense of privacy: a world of warmth, calm, and much-needed introspection.
In keeping with this reverence for rarefied personal space, O’Brien’s Mia lamp emits a gentle, insular light that radiates from a single bulb––creating an individual slice of illumination to be savoured by you and you alone.
Hence the name ‘Mia’… or ‘mine’.
And, thanks to O’Brien’s uncanny ability to mix styles from across the centuries, the Mia also exhibits a skillful blend of both sinewy lines and sweeping curvature, meaning the piece can function within a wide variety of schemes, including colonial, art deco, or even mid-century modern.
Make it a companion piece to virtually any armchair and let it guide you through your latest read, your nighttime tea, or your morning coffee––brightening your daily dose of necessary self-care.

Blackened and waxed natural finish applied to steel, aluminum, or zinc. The surface of Aged Iron varies by design. The color is rich, deep brownish-black with hints of gray. The finish will show some welding and most times will show tooling and working marks. Aged iron may rust when exposed to the elements and many household chemicals.
Gilded Iron may continue to patina and will not resist the elements. Gold metal leaf is applied over a textured surface. Much of the gold is hand-distressed to a time-worn appearance. Wax is applied to protect. Clean with a soft, dry cloth only.
Nickel is plated onto a mirror-polished base metal, usually brass. Polished Nickel is generally uncoated, and not intended to patina. Polished Nickel will not resist corrosion from exposure to the elements or most household chemicals. Can be polished with many common metal polishes.
