The slightly more slenderised sister of the Elixir two-drawer nightstand, the Elixir leg model features a pared down silhouette that, though intricate, is no less luxe than its prima donna sibling. Consider this version the white ‘elixir’ to the two-drawer’s red.
A vintage with a crisper taste than its heavier, more full-bodied iteration, the Elixir leg nightstand redistributes the ratio of wood to metal, resulting in a lean and sinewy construction gently perched above four illustrious legs in a champagne hue. The two-drawer Elixir’s x-stretcher support is likewise reimagined here as two decorous ‘x’s, both of which add sparkling detail to the slimmer Elixir’s upper shelf (one of two designed to offer supplemental storage for this smaller, single-drawer version).
Yet though the Elixir leg model is not quite as imposing in stature as its sister, the thinner piece still has a dramatic trick or two up its sleeve.
Finished in a deeper wooden tone, the Elixir leg nightstand emits a showy contrast of light and dark as the warm veneers of its body and shelves play against its shimmering metal frame. For added flourish, there’s even a striking bit of textured hardware, polished to a brilliant sheen and placed dead center on the lone, dusky-coloured drawer––much like a brightly beaming star amid a blackening sky.
